SAKIS … AS WE SAY STAR!

Star means being gone for a few months and your groupies fell like
you've been gone for years! Star means living at the other side of
the ocean and remain "the news" on everyone's lips. If you are still
wondering what are the qualities that make up a legend then read
carefully the 10 reasons we have come up with that prove that the
only male STAR in Greece is Sakis!

1. Sakis belongs to that category of men that they become more
beautiful as they grow up. The handsome men – and beautiful women of
course – are ageless. And Sakis is the proof of that.

2. He is one of the few artists of Greece – maybe even Europe –
whose concerts are always sold out days in advance. Remember on
October 2005 in his concert in OAKA stadium 17.000 fans attended and
we witnessed scenes of hysteria!

3. He is one of the few Greek artists that have managed to "cross"
the borders of our country and become known globally. His career in
France, his successful appearance in Eurovision and his attempts
at "Hollywood" are according to the specialists only the beginning.

4. He has managed to win over many famous artists like Nana
Moushouri and Tom Hanks as well as the respect of renown song
writers like Stamatis kraounakis, Lakis Lazopoulos and Lakis
Papadopoulos that have trusted him with their music and lyrics,
something that is inconceivable for other artists.

5. His albums are always gold or platinum, something that very few
of his colleagues have managed to do. Besides this year he won the
award of "Best Selling Artist" in Munich for last year's sales.

6. He and Anna Vissi managed to create a new term in the 90's. The
Greek show biz acquired the first pop stars with these two. And he
serves pop music faithfully from the beginning in spite of all the
harsh criticism of some quarters at the beginning of his career. He
always knew that he would be vindicated some day. And he was right!

7. He is the only Greek artist after Aliki Vougiouklaki (she is an
actress) that has ever released a doll, something that all of his
foreign contemporaries have done.

8. From his first appearance in the Greek show biz he has always had
a steady audience and was number one in their preference. He has
never left the spotlight and his career never became stale. That is
one of the star's qualities. He lasts in time.

9. He is a professional and follows rules of military discipline to
maintain the means of his work. What are those? His voice,
appearance etc. He doesn't smoke, he avoids alcohol, he works out
regularly, and practices the choreography of his show for hours, he
is taking singing lessons and has a special diet. Sakis knows that
to become "Number One" you have to make sacrifices and you have to
love your work.

10. Like all famous people Sakis' wardrobe is supplied by many
famous designers like Valentino and Peter Golding who was
responsible for Madonna's "cowgirl" look a few years back.
