Eurovision 2006: Sakis Rouvas (2004) is the host of Eurovision 2006

New developments presented by several Greek media and websites are
now confirmed. Since last week sources from the artist and today the
respected newspaper Ethnos confirmed the name Sakis Rouvas as the
male host of the 2006 Athens Eurovision Song Contest which will take
place on May 18 and 20.

Sakis Rouvas represented Greece in 2004 and excited almost all
Greeks with an outstanding performance in Istanbul ranking Greece
3rd among 39 countries. Oikotimes.com secure sources said that Sakis
was also proposed to perform next year but he preffered to host the
show since he already performed in Eurovision in the past and since
hosting is a unique experience for the Greek artist especially in a
contest held in the capital of his country.

Sakis Rouvas will be accompanied by a female hostess the name of
which will also soon be announced. The names of Jennifer Aniston who
is actually Greek and Nia Vardalos are also discussed but so far
there is no official approach to both of them. Even the name of
Elissavet Flippouli has been heard.

Secure sources also told us that Helena Paparizou is not interested
to host the show but she prefers to open the show and conduct the
interval of the final. The name of Sakis Rouvas is about to be
confirmed officially by ERT in few days if not in few hours. Many
websites and Greek TV stations were speaking for Nikos Aliagas as
the host saying also that they were based on secure sourcing!
