I think that most of the world have this each year but this time it's a month earlier now. Tonight's the night when u set ur clocks ahead one hour before u go to bed. Since Spring is almost here (at least in Canada I don't know about the rest of the world) it's literally time to "Spring Forward." Just wanted to spread this out that's all.

In Brazil it's "Summer Forward". It's from October to the end of February. Usually it ends a week after Carnival. We set our clocks an hour ahead just like you do. Longer summer days! Very Happy

Usually October in my country, the clocks go back and sometime in Spring, I can't remember which month it is usually, it goes forward. In Summer the days are longer and lighter whilst in Winter it is shorter, causing a lot of darkness and very risky to be on your own at that time.

Clocks were forwarded last night and it means that we get more hours of daylight up here in the North!!! cheers

This is what the sunset looked like this evening in Espoo around 8.00 p.m. (the scenery is a bit boring, because I took the pic from the parking lot of our local railwaystation)

The pics seem very light compared to normal time because at that time it is usually dark. In my country you get that type of scenery too at that time especially in the summer where the longest day of the year is around June.

In here the amount of daylight is allready over 12 hours. The sun rises up around 7.00 a.m. and sets around 8.00 p.m.

And during the midsummer sun only sets for couple of hours, except in Lapland it'll shine 24 hours a day. So only thing that I'll propably miss next Summer in Greece is the light summer nights we have in Finland.
Though in Greece nights are warm and dark...and full of entertainment Laughing Wink

I don't like the daylight-savings time. I don't really see the sense there for changing the time twice a year. It always takes some time for people and animals to acclimate.

I have to say Miranda, neither do I because the time adjustments take time to get used to. It's the Scottish farmers that need it most.

Well I don't like daylight savings time either. I wish it would never take place at all. Lol. Having the daunting task of changing clocks every time it takes place. It's ridiculous I tell ya. Mad

Well as of this writing the clocks here in North America have now set back one hour. The time 2 "Fall Back" has already taken place. I set most of the clocks of my house back one hour.

It's that time again. Here in North America at least this is indeed the time where we "Spring Forward." Setting our clocks ahead one hour before we go 2 bed tonite.
