Does Sakis know any languages other than Greek and English?

I don't really know how good Sakis is at English, by the way. I've never really heard him speak English without having a script to follow (like in ESC). Those of you who might have heard him speak English "live", how is his English?

In ESC 2006, when he was a co-host, he spoke French (again, from a script). Those of you who know French: how did it sound to you?

I've studied French and to my ears Sakis did very well. I've also heard him singing in French "Dis lui" although on tape and he definitely can speak French. I've studied French for 6 years in school and I'm still speaking with Finnish acsent, when Sakis spoke French I couldn't pick any Greek acsent so he did it well. I remember reding somewhere that He has lived in France, correct if I'm wrong.

I've heard that he is very fluent in English and I know that he had private French lessons when he tried to do sth in France.I definetely believe that he is an excellent speaker of French as well!
After all, he had given many interviews ,especially in English, interviews which unfortunately I haven't seen...

His English is great, and I also heared him speak French. Besides, he knows a few phrases in Russian, and he even sang a Russian variant of Se thelo san trelos in Russian together with our Russian Philipp Kirkorov. His pronunciation in Russian was almost perfect!

I've heard about that Helenita, in fact, go to this thread and there is a downloadable MP3 on it. The version is really good though.

Indeed, he sang it almost without accent.

I've heard the Greek-Russian version also and it sounds good to me. I've studied basics in both Greek and Russian, but my Greek skills are better than Russian. Laughing Laughing I can hardly remember any of my russian lessons anymore.

Thank you very much! I already got the karaoke version via email (thank you!), but it's nice of you to give out these links.

But you shouldn't have told us that you can remove the vocals from any song ... now I want all songs as karaoke versions!!!! bounce lol!

Seriously, what program are you using to do this? If you could do "Psaxe me", "Kanoume onira", and "Aspro mavro", that would keep me sakisfied for a while at least ... I know how long it takes to do things like this. It always takes more time than you think. But if you'd do it, I'd be soooooo happy. Don't feel you have to, though!! Rolling Eyes

Well, now I know. Sakis speaks excellent English! And actually with less accent then for instance in the Eurovision Song Contest. He seemed to not have to think at all before speaking, the words just came naturally to him.

Funny, this is what I wanted to know when I started this topic. And all it took was a flight to Greece and speak to the man to find out... Laughing (Sorry, I couldn't resist joking about it -- I'm actually much more humble about having met Sakis than I seem. In fact, every day when I think about it, I'm in awe!)

I always thought his English was pretty good. And now I have you and Em to confirm that.
Mal at least for me, you can talk about meeting Sakis for the next century that I don't mind. I'll never get tired of listening to it. Wink

Yes, I'll confirm that his English is perfect. He really doesn't seem to think at all what to say, he just opens his mouth and the words start slipping out from his mouth. Laughing Laughing

It also happens to me. I just open my mouth and the words start slipping out of it. However, differently from Sakis it doesn't happen cause I'm fluent in English but because I don't think before speaking. What a Face

Aleera, I actually realized after writing my comment, that it has wrong kind of echo, but you understood what I ment. And what comes to me, I also sometimes speak before thinking. Embarassed As u may have noticed.
